Drillable Packer-Plug PBS-RKU

PBS-RKU is a universal drillable packer with a valve and double-sided pressure sensing, which is set using a UMG hydraulic setting module.
The RKU packer is equipped with a two-way valve (“sliding sleeve” type), which is controlled by axial manipulation of the setting module suspended on the tubing string.
The valve automatically closes when the setting module is lifted and exits the packer and opens when entering. The valve retains the medium pressure in both directions.
The sliding sleeve valve has the following advantages:
• keeps the cement under final bursting pressure (under the packer)
• isolates the cement pumped under the packer from the hydrostatic pressure above the packer
• allows cementing in two intervals in one trip (above and below the packer)
• provides the ability to test the tubing string before cementing by lifting the string to close the valve, but without leaving the packer
•The packer is made of easily drillable materials.
