The PBS-HB Hydrostatic Bailer is a device that is part of the downhole assembly designed to clean sand plugs from wells. The method of action is hydrovacuum. The Hydrostatic Bailer prevents the tubing string from being filled with downhole fluid during its running, which causes the hydrostatic level in the annulus to rise relative to the pipe. Upon reaching the sandy bottom, the hydraulic bailer opens. The flow of liquid rushing between the annulus and the pipe carries the bottomhole particles with it into the container of the pipes, in the lower part of which there is a check valve.
