• The Programme introduces gemstones as a part of Mineralogy – the Gemology, that deals with Gems – a separate group of minerals.
• The Programme covers the basic knowledge concerning nomenclature and glossary, geological and historical facts, truthfully answers some popular questions about gems influence on the human life.
• The Programme minutely regards the Gem diagnostic properties and instruments, gives the practical skills to the reliable methods to identify natural gems, separating it from the imitations.
• During the course participants know the genesis and deposits of the most important gemstones, get the ideas how to apply this information to the business.
• The Programme makes the accent on the Gem commerce and marketing aspects, gives the approaches to the quality assessment and Gem appraisal, tells how the Gem cutting is carrying out.
• The Programme is designed for M.Sc, geologists, gemologists, jewelers and experienced specialists with a basic level of mineralogy, including a principal knowledge of crystallography, mineral deposits, practical and business skills.
